IMG_2353KHS has a few events coming up and we want to see you!  We’ll be bringing out our Nippers Trading Post shop items and taking donations at our booth at the Gilmore Car Museum for back-to-back events this Saturday and Sunday.  Save Our Strays will also be there with adoptable pets from Kalamazoo County Animal Services.

Deutsche Marques – German Auto Event
Saturday, July 11, 2015 9am – 3pm, Gilmore Car Museum

Bring your friends and family out to the Gilmore Car Museum as we being a weekend of “foreign invasions,” beginning with the 4rd annual Deutsche Marques, and ALL German Auto Event on Saturday, July 11th! This car show will feature all of you favorite German marques and everything from daily drivers to weekend treasures, including BMW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen.

General Admission: $12.00 per person – children 11 & under are FREE
Includes all museum exhibits at no extra charge.

Mad Dogs & Englishmen British Car Faire
Sunday, July 12, 2015 9am – 3pm, Gilmore Car Museum

‘Ello, Chaps! Come on out and enjoy the 25th annual British Car Faire at the Gilmore Car Museum on Sunday, July 13th! A continuation of our “foreign invasion” weekend, the British Car Faire is open to all British made vehicles! This year’s show will feature Triumph TRs and the Morgan as the rare gem, plus wander through the For Sale corral and check out the swap meet area. Enjoy people’s choice judging, car games, and rides in the Museum’s Austin London Taxi and British Tea Time, too!

General Admission: $12.00 per person – children 11 & under are FREE

Oshtemo Rotary Fun Day
Saturday, August 15, 2015 8am – 4pm, Flesher Field in Oshtemo

A family friendly, and FREE event!  “The Oshtemo Rotary Club, whose basic premise is dedication to service, was founded in 1980 and it has continued to be actively involved on a local, national and international level,” said Oshtemo Rotary President Kitty Gelling. “One of its very first causes was the Jaws of Life, and to this day, the club is ardently involved in, but not limited to, a literacy project at Prairie Ridge Elementary, enhancement of Oshtemo Township Parks, Special Peoples’Camp, safe drinking water projects to include providing bio-sand water filters to third world countries, construction of a medical clinic in Peru, and Rotary International Polio eradication.”

Mother’s of Hope  |  Ultimate Family Reunion
Saturday, August 1, 2015 12pm – 6pm, Spring Valley Park in Kalamazoo

A family friendly event with picnic-style food, entertainment and a family reunion-like atmosphere.

As dedicated women primarily from Kalamazoo, Michigan, we embody the power that mothers possess to support our families and the focused determination to affect positive change in our community.  Our charge is simple… empower mothers in an effort to better our community.  Through our various efforts, we are committed to ensuring that our neighborhoods are well educated and equipped with all the knowledge and resources available to guarantee a better quality of life for all people here in Kalamazoo.
